Desert Sailing Vessel
The hull and sails are made from abaca pulp. The hull is painted with gesso and acrylic paint. The sails are dyed with pigments and stitched with colored threads. Driftwood found on the shores of Lake Ontario used on the sails and mast. Juniper wood found in the desert used on the hull. The “ship’s log book in the hull is a “two needle coptic bound” book.
